Edri & Moses: A Ring of Love & Pride

There is no symbol more powerful than the ring to signal one’s marriage and celebrate one’s love. The ring is universally recognized as the moment one commits to another for the lifetime of their marriage. It is through this band of gold that we commit to building a couple, a family, and a community. And though the ring has no beginning and end—it is infinite as we hope the love between two husbands will be—it signals both a start and a continuation. The start of married life and the continuation of the relationship that brought you to the moment you hear: “With this ring, I thee wed.”

For those charged with designing and making this universal, iconic, and powerful symbol, the aesthetic opportunities are unique. The ring, relative to what it represents, is a tiny object. Creatively, it poses unique challenges and, as a result, many rings we see on gents’ fingers are classic in design. Over the years of showcasing jewelers dedicated to this community, we have rarely come across the uniqueness of design and narrative as we have in Edri & Moses.

Founded in 2001 by Shim Edri, a multidisciplinary designer, and Tal Moses, a multi-generational jeweler, Edri & Moses has dedicated its creative experience to the gay men’s community. Shim brings a diverse range of artistic skills to each of their creative endeavors. With a degree in industrial design and a background in textile design, Shim “infuse(s) our jewelry creations with intricate patterns and textures inspired by the world of textiles. This fusion of disciplines allows us to craft rings that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also deeply meaningful.” The two also draw on their more than 20-years together as a couple.

For Shim and Tal, the ring “is not just an object we wear on the body, but rather and emblem. It is both a moment and memory.” As such, their designs are developed to not only express the personality of the grooms, but that is also in accordance with the palm structure, the shape of the finger, and skin tone. An Edri & Moses ring will find its natural place on your hand, but as you and your husband have found in each other, in your lifetime together.

Shim and Tal and their twin daughters have built a remarkable family and it is this familial experience that they bring to designing every ring with their clients. A symbol that represents such a public and intimate moment, can only be imagined and made possible with people you hold close. Theirs is a comfortable, exclusive, and proud service that shows not only in the rings, but in the relationships they maintain with their clients. “Through our business, we are dedicated to providing gay men with wedding rings that symbolize their deep commitment and celebrate the beauty of their union.”

Designing from the foundation of family and pride and using the finest of 18K materials, an Edri & Moses ring is always a distinctive, handsome, and unique piece of jewelry. “Each ring we create tells a unique story, reflecting the love, journey, and individuality of the couple. We take pride in crafting rings that go beyond the surface, capturing the essence of a relationship and serving as a constant reminder of their enduring bond.”

Because marriage is an ageless bond, one we hope yields lifetime of love, family and growth, we can think of no better ring to symbolize that promise, than one designed by Edri & Moses.
